Studied short story writing with Philip Roth at the University of Iowa Creative Writers Workshop; literature with C.D.B. Bryant and poetry with poet Jon Anderson at the University of Iowa; English Lit and Greek Mythology at Bradley University (summer school); and poetry in graduate school at the University of New Mexico with poet Gene Frumkin.

Wrote lyrics to published/produced songs Nighthawk, Rockslide, Goodbye, Johnny,
Moon Over Memphis, Heart Attack Town,
and others. (BMI, McDermott Publishing).

Have been VP of an International Recruiting firm, an independent headhunter, and President/owner of an international recruiting company. Clients have included: United Airlines, Marriott Corporation, WORLDSPAN, GEMINI, the IRS, the CIA, the Saudi Royal Family (Riyadh), ARAMCO (Dhahran), and other clients in the United States, Canada, France, Germany, and England.

Short Story, Nothing But a Kiss won First Place in the Santa Fe Reporter's
Annual Short Story Contest (and later published in the Amarillo Bay Literary Magazine).

Dominque's Mother won an honorable mention award in England's Gator Springs Gazette
and was published later by Hot Metal Press.

Dust Devil won first place in the annual Ascent Aspirations Short Story Contest.

Somewhere in LA won Honorable Mention Award in THE ALIBI Magazine
Annual Short Story Contest.

Swimming Home won a Semi-Finalist Award in the Adirondack Review, and Monique's Mother won a Runner-Up award
in The Lakeview Review.

She's Nothing Like a Woman was published by JUKED.

The Green Line, Slow Eddie & Nikita, and The Last Supper were published by Ascent Aspirations.

Montana Rain was published by the Evergreen Review.

Another Sad Cafe was published in the Annual Short Story Anthology BLINK.

Have completed three mainstream contemporary novels, SOUTHEAST OF EDEN,
a psychological thriller, SHRINKING VIOLET; and a historical novel BILLY'S KID.

Am currently in the process of completing a mainstream contemporary thriller/mystery, THE CARETAKER, and an international literary thriller, EVANGELO.
